Band Bio

Brian Smith - Guitar/Vocals

Born in Altus, Oklahoma, Brian’s passion for music began early — he picked up his first guitar at just seven years old. Growing up in a musical family, it was almost inevitable: his mother played piano and sang, his father was a drummer and vocalist, and his grandfather could play just about anything with strings.

After graduating high school, Brian joined the U.S. Air Force, where his service took him from Biloxi, Mississippi to Anchorage, Alaska. Music was a constant companion through those years and beyond. His performance experience includes playing in churches across Anchorage, Alaska; Bolingbrook, Illinois; Van Alstyne, Texas; and Bells, Texas.

Brian’s band affiliations span from “Shattered Soul” in Macon, Georgia, to joining “In Rare Form” in 2018. Soon after, he became an original member of “Retro Rock NTX” and is now contributing his guitar and vocal skills to Patriot Watch.

Mike Wagner - Vocals/Keys/Percussion
Born and raised in Northern California, Mike is a retired Marine whose love for singing has been with him through every chapter of life — even while digging a foxhole. As a child, he often stayed inside during recess to sing along with the school record player, a passion that would lead to remarkable experiences on stage.

Mike’s first major singing moment came in 1976 when he performed before Congress. Over the years, he has lent his voice to weddings, beauty pageants and onboard U.S. Navy ships while on deployment. With a versatile background in performance, Mike enjoys Classic Rock — both listening to it and bringing it to life on stage with Patriot Watch.

Bobby Blanton - Drums/Percussion
Born and raised in Denison, Texas, Bobby joined school band in the 8th grade, learning percussion and continued through high school, where he played in marching band, concert band, and as stage band drummer.  After graduation he joined the US Air Force; where he retired after 20 years active duty and then retired again from USAF civil service another 21 years later. He loves to fish and play music. He is married and a proud father and grandfather.

Bobby is a seasoned drummer and percussionist with a background in jazz, blues, rock, and country music.  He has been a member of several bands from Oklahoma and Texas, including, “Nostalgia”, “Cow-Town Country Ramblers”,  “The Blue River Band”, “Todd Boyer Band”, “Texas Bleu-Catz”, and “Petty Beagles”.  Bobby also acted as website manager and sound engineer in some of the bands. He is now the drummer for Patriot Watch; a proud member of the band sharing in the comradery and fellowship of its members.

Patric Ainsworth - Bass/Vocals

Patric was born and raised in East Texas and, after serving six years in the United States Marine Corps, he began playing with local and regional bands. He moved to Nashville in the early 90’s and pursued full-time bass work for a few years before returning to East Texas.  Patric was a founding member of CulverHouse and played exclusively with that band up until the Covid crisis, and now delivers the low end for Patriot Watch.  Patric loves playing bass, golf, and spending time with his family and friends.  He resides in McKinney with his wife, Audra, and has three children and eight grandchildren.

Jeff Parker - Rhythm Guitar

Jeff developed a deep love of music at a very early age.  After a successful career in sales and business ownership, Jeff started playing guitar in 2018.  He's been married to the love of his life, Shannan, for 32 years.  They have two wonderful children and 4 grandchildren.  Jeff also spends time performing with youth musicians from the local music and arts in Sherman.  He is the most recent member of Patriot Watch and is a critical part of their sound.
